5 PODCASTS YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO

To all our audio angels, listen up! During this time that we’ve been plagued with working from home, lounge-chic, blanket-based OOTDs, various versions of lockdown tiers and literal tears – one thing is evident: podcasts are your auditory teleportation device. We have trends, trauma, and things to watch out for. The MSM round-up of 5 podcasts to listen to include: Arm-chair expert, Dope Labs, Red-handed, Scam Goddess, and The Trend Reporter.

Arm-chair expert

A fitting title for the last year as we all spent some lockdown time in some sort of armchair. Title aside, this podcast is a must listen for many reasons including Dax Shepard. The tagline is “a podcast that celebrates the messiness of being human.” What more could we want?

Dope Labs

Titi Shodiya and Zakiya Whatley are scientists and best friends bringing us an amalgam of social media trends and a hint of science. With episodes titled “Lie to me” and “Protect Ya Neck”, the two friends delve into America’s lying history and vaccines and how they work.

RedHanded

Calling all true crime fanatics (and non-fanatics, too). Via RedHanded, Hannah Maguire and Suruthi Bala are partners in crime, serving us with the gruesome details of your local cannibal, royal massacres, and all the most far fetched crimes around the world.

Scam Goddess

Actor and comedian, Laci Mosley, brings you your true crime filled with an added comedic spin. Every week, Scam Goddess exposes the latest and greatest scams and fraud while talking to other fellow comedians. To say that each episode packs a punch(line) is an understatement.

The Trend Reporter

Let’s talk trends, with Mara Schiavocampo! Every week, she dishes out all the latest beauty, style, and lifestyle trends. With product review episodes about charcoal toothpaste and “hair horror stories”, you feel like you are at a girl’s brunch, getting all the essential/latest tried-and-true tips and tricks.
